Jeet Kune Do is not a specific style or art, but a system of training methods that teaches the individual to adapt. Students train multiple skillsets for kickboxing, boxing, trapping, clinch, and groundfighting. Through experience in sparring and a wide range of other dynamic training methods, they develop the ability to combine these skills in order to adapt to any situation. As the individual becomes confident in the face of increasing difficulty and complexity, more difficult situations including multiple assailants, weapons, and environmental concerns are introduced.

Since September of 2005, the Modern Self-Defense Center has offered a free self-defense class every week. This class is completely free and open to the public. Students will be given a panoramic view of self-defense training, and will engage in a very hands-on introduction to the primary skillsets in realistic training. Expect to have fun, to learn a lot, and to sweat! |
